CS105 Labs, Fall 2007
Thursdays, September 27 to November 15, 2007

Time & Place

The CS105 lab exercises, which are mandatory for all CS105 students, take place every Thursday from September 27 to November 15 inclusive, eight Thursdays in all. There are two lab sessions, one from 3:00 - 4:20 PM and another from 4:30 - 5:50 PM. They are identical; you may attend either session.

Lab Instructor

Your lab instructor, who is responsible for designing your assignments, administering the labs, and grading your lab work, is Adam Shaw. Adam's office is Ryerson 257C, and he is available for office hours by appointment throughout the quarter.

Submissions, Grades and Solutions

You must submit your labs every Thursday. Solutions will be posted every Friday on Chalk; therefore in general no late labs will be accepted. Exceptions may be made for extraordinary circumstances, but only with prior consultation with the lab instructor.

Your lab work will be graded with a check-plus, a check, a check-minus, or a zero. These grades will appear on Chalk as 4, 3, 2 and 0 respectively. The standard grade is a check; check-plus work must be distinguished in some way.

Collaboration

Do ask other students simple, general questions about the logistics of getting your programs working. Do not ask other students for solutions to the problems at hand. Identical work will be noticed. If students are found to have copied another's work, both students will face disciplinary action. Your work must be your own and you must be able to explain all aspects of it if asked to do so.
