Migration Tutorial Overview

Known Issues
WebLogic Server 6.0
- In WebLogic Server 6.0 there is a bug, fixed in subsequent versions, that sets JRE, rather than JDK, for %JAVA_HOME% for the converted domain.
- In WebLogic 6.0, the conversion utility set the property compileCommand for the compiler to the JDK that was used by WebLogic Server 5.1 In WebLogic 6.1 this is corrected: the JDK specified in the converted application is the JDK on which the WebLogic Server is running during the conversion.
WebLogic Server 6.1
- In WebLogic 6.1, the conversion utility currently copies the migrated application to a WLS_6x_HOME\config\examples\migrationdomain\production_apps directory. This is a known issue; the target directory should be WLS_6x_HOME\config\examples\migrationdomain\applications. A corrected version of the conversion utility will be posted at http://developer.bea.com/tools/techguides.jsp.
- In WebLogic 6.1, the JDK automatically specified specified by the conversion process under the compileCommand tag in the weblogic.xml is set to JAVA_HOME\javac. This setting is missing the bin subdirectory. It should be set to JAVA_HOME\bin\javac. A corrected version of the conversion utility will be posted at http://developer.bea.com/tools/techguides.jsp.
