There will be homework assignments most weeks, including some computer assignments (assembly programming, and/or design). There will be a final exam, and probably a midterm. Those enrolled in 322 will have extra items on assignments and exams. I will evaluate participation based on the quality (not just quantity) of your written contribution to the online discussion. I will calculate final scores for grading as follows.

Exams 40%
Homeworks 45%
Participation 15%


If your midterm exam score is higher than your final, I will weight them 16% midterm 24% final. If your final exam score is higher, I will give it the full 40%.

I will determine cutoffs intuitively, and the cutoffs for 322 may be higher than those for 222. I occasionally revise grades upward when I see evidence of strong work in one area, and flukish problems elsewhere. I only assign As for work that shows some spark beyond merely responding to the requirements.
